How to Add Some Warmth to Your Bathroom with Electric Heaters

3 min read

Many bathrooms have inadequate heating and/or poorly placed heat sources. Electric heaters are incredibly easy to install, cost-effective when compared to rearranging existing heat sources, and technologically advanced to boot.

There's nothing quite like the feel of emerging from a warm shower to a hot, cozy bathroom. The problem is, many bathrooms have inadequate heating and/or poorly placed heat sources. Remodeling can sometimes address this problem, but it's not exactly easy or cheap to move a heating source from one corner of the bathroom to another.

Enter electric heaters, which are incredibly easy to install, cost-effective when compared to rearranging existing heat sources, and technologically advanced to boot. Here are three reason why you should consider a heater when you need more heat in the bathroom:.

1. Electric Heaters are Easy to Install

Depending on the electric heater you buy, you'll want to check the wattage in the bathroom to ensure it can match the needs of what is currently in your bathroom,  the power source, and/or current draw against the specs of your existing wiring, especially if you're adding on to an older home.

2. Electric Heaters Provide Efficient Heating

Due to innovation in the heating industry, modern electric heaters can balance heating needs and energy conservation because they have sophisticated electronics. Since heat rises, electric heaters can usually heat a room more rapidly than furnaces, making them perfect to warm you up after a quick shower.

Another reason that baseboard heaters are energy efficient in bathrooms is due to the fact that you only use them when you're in the room. If you add another heat register to your bathroom, the problem is that the room is now heated constantly just like the rest of the house. If you add an electric heater, you just turn it on and off as needed – some of the baseboard heaters even have a remote control.

3. Electric Heater Have a Small Footprint

Bathrooms are the smallest rooms in the house, and in many homes, it's hard to get in and out of the bathroom, never mind trying to dry off, dress, etc. If you want to add heat to a room that's already small, consider adding in an under cabinet heater. An under cabinet heater, uses the unused space you already have by easily hiding underneath furniture. If you have a small bathroom, an under cabinet heater should be on your list.

Adding electric heating to your bathroom is a smart, energy-efficient, and simple way to warm up your space. It’s cost-effective it is compared to moving or augmenting an existing heat source, depending on the size of your space, a panel convector or an under cabinet heater would be great options and should be on your remodelling checklist.
